OK...I opted out of driving Day 2....decided that the neck was sore enough from Day 1....wasn't worth the risk.
My spotter and friend covered for me WONDERFULLY.
The rest of the stock drivers, my hat is off to the whole group. Day 1 we had 5 drivers registered...but one driver had somehow gotten a pair of - (don't laugh too loud) black panty hose sucked into the intake....OUCH. He didn't realize that his girlfriend was trying to help out...covered the intake with them the night before (because he didn't have an air filter or some such) WELL....we were almost done running day 1 events when he got things put back together. ALL the drivers in Stock class showed TRUE sportsmanship...we all voted for him to run the events and catch up.
He DID....THEN...Day 2, I ask them to allow me to find an alternate driver - my spotter was willing but not familiar with my jeep. Eric, on the other hand drives a rig somewhat like mine (it's a jeep...bigger tires and assundary other differences but...hey, it's a jeep) The drivers one more time were true sportsmen and voted to allow Eric to drive in my place.
I took 'camera duty' and came up with some pretty decent shots from my little digital.
Before I post up the picts, let me just say, it was a real honor to wheel with such a decent group of guys...not to mention the BLAST that I had at the shootout! But, last, I really want to thank Eric and Angie for KICKING BUTT.
All said and done, it was a great weekend! Couldn't have asked to wheel with a better group of people....
I publshed all the picts I had to photobucket....check out the albumn to see the rest. (140 total...couldn't put them all on here, could I?)
