ROLAND,
I THINK IT SUCKS THAT YOU HAD TO PULL LITTLE SHINEY OUT LAST MONTH HE'S BEEN SETUP THE SAME WAY EVERY SINCE HE STARTED RACING OUT AT SPRING CREEK AND NO ONE EVERY COMPLAINED BEFORE. I'M SURE IF YOU STOPPED TO A LOOK AT ALL THE TRUCKS IN HIS CLASS YOU COULD FIND SOMETHING ON ALL OF THEM. BUT HE'LL BE BACK LETS SEE WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS TIME. AND I AGREE WITH PAUL08 YOU COULD USE A LITTLE MORE MUD IN THE MUD PIT. THAT WOULD SLOW THEM DOWN JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE IT A MUD RACE.

He was 4 linked and there is no 4 link except factory in class 3. There were people looking at everything to see who was right and wrong. Personally I think if your gonna complain do it before the races start.

That goes back on the track officals, When we started this there was to be inspections on all the trucks befor the races. That has never happened. They are tring too hard to please everyone and that is just not possible. They wrote the rules and they need to inforce them. kryptonite should have been DQ last race for no winshield over the driver but it was overlooked because they want him to come back and are afraid to say something to him. They need to either infoce thier rules or just make it RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG! Just my opinion!!!

Did you talk to Kryptonite?  His window was damaged in transport.  he took out half so he wouldn't get shard of glass while racing.  As far as little shiney, it clearly states NO four link suspensions for class three.
We adopted the rules that are at five different east texas tracks.  We are looking at these rules and some things will change for next season.  We are currently looking for CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions........

There is alot happening out there on race day. Roland and his crew do a pretty damn good job. I do believe all the racers should be teche'd before each race. But, that would call for the racers to get there early enough so they could do it. I believe if you aren't teche'd - you don't race. The rules are set out and we all need to follow them. I know easy for me to say since I am medically unable to race this year. But when I am cleared to race I will have to follow the rule just as everyone else should. Just my .02 :203:

So what your saying Rolan absolutely make no since, Listen to what you just said. It doesn`t matter when it broke it clearly states a driver must have a windshield. It does not say during transit it says when he is racing. What you did was bend the rules for him, I really don`t understand what you are trying to say, but a rule is a rule. Lets say I go to Lowerplace and tell them my bed was damaged during transit and had to remove it, you think they give a rats a$$, I would be told you don`t race period. Just my .02 worth.
As for having to get there early enough, I believe we are there early enough to be teched, sometimes 3 hours before we racing. I am not trying to be an A$$ about this but I thought the deal with shiny was kind of Chicken chit, and he should have got a warning, the same with Kryptonite since no tech check was done.

im always the instigator, but i agree with tinker. if the race started, its started. i have no issues following rules and regs. if they are bent for somone, then i get bent as well.

YEA! WHAT THEY SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bogger:

And as far as time we wait an hour or two for the 4 wheelers to run! Time is not the issue!
And if he broke his window on the way we start at 4 pm stop at HOME DEPOT and buy you some "PLEXIGLASS" and a roll of "DUCT TAPE"! :headbang: :givebeer .02cents

So does this mean Purple Monkey can't run in 39.5 class anymore? Only 44 class says front fiberglass clips are ok....not 39.5 class.  39.5 class must have STOCK transmission. Purple Monkey's tranny can't hold up to that motor if it's stock!  He also has no front windshield either.  He should have to run in unlimited or 44".  If he tries to run 35" class he doesn't have " factory axles, stock transmission, transfer case and not to exceed OEM cubic inches" .

Why did Lil Shiney get to race other months and not last? Why do most racers have 2min. to get to starting line but some have had 10 min?

I think EVERYONE should live by the SAME rules ALL THE TIME. Or make it "run what you brung" and have no rules. Not some run what you want while the rest have to live by rules. These "good ole boy rules " suck and making it alot of trouble and not as much fun.  Just my .02

there is truth in this.

just an example, not picking on anyone but giving a example.

from what i know:

Erics truck has a ford transmission in it, so its technically stock. its a C6 IIRC, not a lenco or something like that, and its a FoMoCo designed unit.... granted it may have a metric shit ton of aftermarket parts in it, but its still a C6 case

factory axles..... it is a ford dana 60.... not that they ever came under a F100 or F150 or most F250's butits still a FoMoCo axle.

i dunno what the transfercase is, im assuming a NP205 or dana 300 but i could be mistaken. those are both FoMoCo pieces. i have one as well infact (205)

the engine IIRC was/is a 460? thats a FoMoCo engine as well, may have not been in a f150 or f100 but it still is a FoMoCo block

look at my engine, its a 409 using a 351M block and all stock ford parts.... does that make me no good for competition? what that rule means, is no aftermarket blocks in my interpretation. so no Dart, Donivan, or Merlin blocks that change the bore spacing and allow longer stroke. i mean i can make a small block chevy with a dart block look like a stock engine... but it can be well over 450 CID.
