Everyone's help is always appreciated.  You need to be able to commit to being at weekly meetings ( which have been suspended until the holidays are over).  If you can't be at the meetings, you won't know what's going on.  You also need to be able to commit to volunteer your time for any prep work that needs to be done.

Sorry Vance.  For the majority of people who volunteer, Wed. night is the best.  It was decided a LOOOONG time ago.  We wish you could make it also.  I understand about having too many irons in the fire & what not.  That is one of the reasons why making the meetings is mandatory to be a volunteer.  If you have other obligations on Wed. nights, you probably have enough going on without adding more to your plate.  Not to mention that if we didn't make attendance mandatory, we would end up with 30 or 40 people showing up the day of an event with absolutely no idea of what is going on, but they want to help.  Most of them (of course, I am the eternal optimist) I think have good intentions, but I would have to say that there are more than a few that just show up & say "I wanna vounteer" so they can get in the show for free.  We've been really laid back about it in the past, but starting in the new year, you MUST attend meetings to be considered a volunteer.  That's not to say that you have to be at every single meeting, just most of them.
Also, in the very near future (after the first of the year), I'll be adding a volunteer site to our website.  More on that later. :149:

There's no fee for the meetings.  In fact, dedicated volunteers get free entry into the park.  Also we have barbque's and get togethers and such from tiime to time.
