King of the creek, Feb 28th
« on: February 16, 2009, 08:33:32 PM »
It's that time again!!! One class run watcha brung. Metal top or cage required as well as seatbelts and a fire extinguisher. Bring your helmet too and see if you've got what it takes to win. It will be a closed course and the person with the fastest time will take the money home. Last year we paid out 1400 bucks to Chip.
The event will start at 11:00 a.m. Spectator entry will be the normal 10 dollars and there will be concessions available as well. If you like to speedwheel then this will be right up your alley!!!
Registration is 9:30 to 10:30 and we will walk the course just before the statr time.
If you're coming to watch bring one of those fm handheld two way radios and listen to the carnage reports!!!!! Bring your lawnchairs and leave the glass containers at home....for more info call 713 806 9410 Roland

20 minutes per truck...course is 3600 feet long.   We expect that most trucks will make it in 10-15 minutes.

If yall can guarantee to start at 11 sharp , I will enter.  The forecast says 50% chance of rain and 60 something degree highs . Gonna make me wish I still had a windshield  and doors .  Are helmets madatory ?

My weather man says...
Quote
Saturday

Partly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers in the morning. Cooler. Highs in the upper 60s.

Saturday Night

Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly clear. Colder. Lows in the mid 40s.

And if you can guarantee me that everything will go off without a hitch, then I will guarantee 11 sharp... :170:  J/K
Registration is from 9:30-10:30 with the driver's meeting at 10:30 (you guys will definitely want to walk the course & it will take about 30 minutes)  First guy off the line will be immediately following the driver's meeting.
