agreed. i did king of the creek in my fool size ford in 08. did i expect to win against trailered purpose built rigs? no. did i expect to put up a serious fight? fawk yea.

but my street legal fool size did catch 4th place..... and would have caught (IMO) a higher rank, had i not got hung up on a corner i shouldnt have gotten hung up in the first place. i overthought the problem, and shoulda just hammered down. we live and learn.

nothing broke, minus the body looking like godzilla ate it and shat it out

you think  continued to race after me in 07 when i won the modified mud drag series cause of the money? hell no, he raced cause he wanted to race.... he knew he couldnt beat me in points.

So here are the requirements for tech and the breakdown of the classes:

General:

six point cage tied to frame.
no plexiglass windows or body panels.
floorboard and firewall mandatory.
propane or gasoline only...race gas o.k.
no nitrous.
fuel cells and batteries are to be firmly attached.
all suspension and steering must appear to be in sound working order.
hand throttles must be spring return.
4 point safety harness minimum.
head rests required.
charged fire extinguisher in easy reach of driver.
no loose items in vehicle.
DOT 3/4 helmets required.
neck braces for all occupants.
brakes on all four wheels.  Rockwell pinion brakes o.k.
no shorts or open toe shoes.
winch weight required for steel cable.
tree saver required.

Stock:

must be full frame.
maximum tire size 35"
stretched wheelbase o.k.
full body, o.e.m. appearing.
cutting and trimming o.k.
at least 2 seats side by side.
front engine and radiator.

super mod:

2 seats side by side.
36" minimum tire size.
must have stock frame to behind the seats.
no rear steer.
body panels must resemble stock.
suspension seats required.
front engine only.

unlimited:

unlimited tire size.
rear steer o.k.
body panels not required.
single seat o.k.
front or rear engine o.k.
tube frame o.k.
suspension seats required.

What if the frame resembles the stock frame but is stronger?  Remember, I had to rebuild my whole frame.  Does that kick me out of Super Mod?

For anyone interested in pre-registering for the Race-N-Rocks Rampage, I have a simple site setup.  This is NOT set up to accept payments for registrations.  Payments will be accepted @ Tech & Inspection (Friday) and Tech/Check In (on Sat. morning), Cash Only, as we will be paying out at the awards ceremony immediately following the race.

After the race we will kick off live music with the Barley Resin Boys and then The Green Machine will close. Both band have played a lot of local venues I'm sure they will be rockin' the house!!! Should be a good time...
