I know it's been awhile since this happened, but my boyfriend and I came out to SCOR for the first time during the Haunted Trails. I was a little unsure of taking my 06 Rubi Unlimited out into the mud at night when I'd never seen the trails before
. My off-roading experience had been beach runs, checking hog traps in STX, and a little bit of rock crawling in the Hill Country, so I was super-nervous about the mud. At night. Did I mention I was freaked out about it being at night?!
We had a BALL! I didn't realize it was going to be an actual haunted woods type of experience with little vignettes set up and the full deal, so it was a special little treat for us. My boyfriend was a little upset that I wouldn't let him drive but, you know, if he wanted to 'wheel, he should have gotten a Jeep instead of that monster PowerStroke Crew Cab!
I spent the majority of Sunday just washing off all the mud. We decided that, since it takes so long to wash it off, next time we'll come out for an entire day. Make it worth it!
At any rate, I just wanted everyone who participated in the little haunted trails thing that y'all made a fantastic impression on us, your efforts were really appreciated, and we had a fantastic time! We've been busy every weekend since then, but we're going to play hooky from work sometime soon to come back out and play! Thanks for providing us an awesome place to have fun and get dirty doing it.
